Dame Dash Not Sticking to His word

According to TMZ.com, Linda Williams, the mother of Dame Dash's 16 year old son Boogie (Damon Dash, Jr.) is taking legal action for child support and other things. William claims that her son was living with no hot water or electricity in his bedroom for 2 months, Dash exposed Boogie to a relative’s dead corpse, and that Dame hasn’t been contributing to Jr.’s trust fund as he promised. I'm confused he didn't have hot water in just his room, is that possible if its in a house? I'm just wondering ..

Game Track will Premiere Today!

Game has just finished recording a track entitled "911 is a Joke" in response to the "Not Guilty" verdict of the Sean Bell Case. The song will premiere on Game's website THISIZGAME today Tuesday, April 29.

Rock The Bells Festival 2008

This years Rock The Bells festival, has one of the HOtt list of performers, which is A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, Rakim, Method Man & Redman, Raekwon & Ghostface, Immortal Technique, Dead prez, Murs and Kidz In The Hall, with a special reunion performance by The Pharcyde.

The festival will also feature up and coming acts including; Spank Rock, Santogold, Kid Sister, Wale, Flosstradamus, Jay Electronica and The Cool Kids.

B-Real and Supernatural are set to host the festivities.

The festival, will kick off on July 19 in Chicago and will hit 10 cities

Students Supended For Skipping Class to Meet Obama

Two high school seniors in Scranton, Pa., decided to miss school Monday to meet Senator Obama. The students even got Obama to sign an excuse absentee slips for them to give their teachers for missing school. However the slips were not accepted and both students were suspended for one day. One of the students says that he doesn't regret missing school to meet Obama even though he's been asked to step down as Senior class president.

The Superintendent has said if the students had approached a teacher about wanting to leave campus, they would have been given permission. For some reason i don't believe that...

As of Yesterday (April 23) Snoop will not be banned from the UK, Judge George Warr says that he found no evidence that Snoop had been responsible for any public disorder


The decision is in contrast with reports over an incident at Heathrow Airport in 2006 during a brawl between Snoop’s entourage and airport security.

Yesterday (April 22) Treach was detained and questioned by police, after multiple shootings broke out throughout the city of Newark. Treach was stopped by the police who noticed that he had on a bullet proof vest. The stopped stemmed from more than five people being killed in a 24 hour time period.

PacMan Jones Extorting Money

According to police reports Adam "Pacman" Jones paid "extortion" money to a man arrested for the Las Vegas strip club shooting that left a club employee paralyzed.

"He paid $15,000 to his friends, who advised him that if he didn't pay the money then this guy would come after him, his mother and his daughter" says Pacman's lawyer.

Word is that Jones also flew to Seattle on Friday and identified the man as the one who opened fire with a handgun Feb. 19, 2007, outside the strip club during the NBA's All-Star Weekend in Vegas.

N.E.R.D's Chad Considering Quitting

In the upcoming June issue of The Source magazine, Hip Hop/Rock trio N.E.R.D. talks shortly before releasing their third album "Seeing Sounds".

However member Chad Hugo, was asked if he had recently considered quitting, Chad told the Source, "I think in many cases it was. It’s hard to grasp the reigns as far as the music industry. It’s designed for single people. My situation is different. Otherwise it would be fun to just take off out of the stratosphere, out of control, make music for the masses. So one foot out the door? No, one foot on the floor."

The issue hits news stands early next month.

KRS-One Hit Over the head with a Bottle

When i heard this story yesterday i couldn't stop laughing, so if you haven't already heard KRS-One got hit over the head with a bottle at a " Stop the Violence". Apparently a concert-goer got mad because security staff escorted him off the stage so he tossed the bottle in reaction.

All that KRS-One had to say was; "Let it go. Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go. …Let this be an example as to how we stop the violence.... (Right)

BET Changing Up The LIne Up

BET is trying to take some things into consideration since The Enough is Enough Campaign has been holding weekly protest rallies outside the residences of the CEOs of BET and Viacom (which owns BET and MTV). Bet has a bit of a new line up under their reconstructed slogan "Connection You Can Feel". We'll be the judge of that. But some of the show will be; "The Black Panther," an animated series about the first black superhero, "Carmelo's Way," a reality show that follows around Carmelo Anthony,"Leading Men," about African American men who have impacted American culture artistically, socially, and politically; "Urban Cuisine," with chef Marcus Samuelsson showing viewers healthy shopping, low-calorie meals, "Judge Karen", and "Unreported" - talks about the imbalance in journalistic coverage with respect to African Americans..... There's a few others but Of course; "American Gangster," "Baldwin Hills," "College Hill," "College Hill: Interns," "Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is," "Comic View" and "Sunday Best." will all be returning
