Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard Will play Biggie

The search for an actor to play the part in the upcoming biopic Of Notorious B.I.G in "Notorious." has finally ended,Brooklyn-based rapper Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard has the part. The Story which centers on the life of Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., from his beginnings as a crack dealer in Brooklyn to his rise to the top of the world of hip-hop and his murder that has yet to be solved. The film which is directed by George Tillman Jr.(Soul Food) will start production later this month. Among the other parts casted for the film are; Sean "Diddy" Combs, played by Derek Luke ("Antwone Fisher"); Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace,will be played by Angela Bassett ("Akeelah and the Bee"); and Tupac Shakur, played by Anthony Mackie("8 Mile").

Also Newcomers Antonique Smith, Naturi Naughton, Dennis White and Julia Pace Mitchell round out the cast. While Sean "Diddy" Combs is exec producing.
