Lil Wayne Sets a Sales Record

Lil Wayne's album was the first album in 3 years to sell more than a million copies in one week. Let's just hope that he doesn't spend all that money buying more drugs.

Lil Wayne came up large over the past couple of years, and it's hard to know if he's gonna stay on top. Either way, he better get his life right or his empire will come crashing down.

Here's the story.

I'll give him his creativity but Lil Wayne does not impress me. When he does something positive or raps about shit that matters...that's when I'll hop on the Weezy Bandwagon.

It's almost sad...the amount of teenage boys that respect/want to be like/look up to this guy.

Lil Wayne's music is for the most part all about himself. I think most of the young people like his art, how he puts his rhyme together. But hip hop music as a genre just doesn't feel like hip hop anymore. How can we save our musice and our image?

Is there anymore socially conscious rap? It's all about money.....the greedy money culture has taken over our beloved music. Lift me up somebody, please.

I'm not hating on Lil Wayne. The man has a voice at least, but it's what we do with what we our voice. How are we helping the community?

Just to set the record straight, I don't think Lil Wayne has a drug problem or went to rehab....as he said so passionately, that was just a rumor and the rehab thing was for a movie he's shooting (so you might want to correct that).
