Imus At it Again

Don Imus is back in the headlines after a statement he made about suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones. In an on-air conversation with sports announcer Warner Wolf about the player's arrest record, Imus asked, 'What color is he?' Wolf then replied Jones is 'African-American,' Imus responded: 'There you go. Now we know."

Al Sharpton of course had words to addressed the comment

"It has been reported to me that statements were made by Mr. Imus this morning and National Action Network has monitored his show since his return. I find the inference of his remark disturbing because it plays into stereotypes. Any use of stereotypes is always counterproductive. We will determine in the next day or so whether or not his remark warrants direct action on our part as we did in April of last year."

Sharpton has a 50% approval rate among African-Americans. So why dignify a response to one rap artist who doesn’t even say anything substantive," Rev. for Sharpton said.
