Condolences To Xzibit and His Family

Xzibit is mourning the tragic loss of his newborn son Xavier Kingston Joiner, who was born prematurely May 15 and died early Monday.

Xzibit wrote an emotional posting on his MySpace blog about the passing of his son, "His lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own, Life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday,You can have all the material wealth in the universe but it is NOTHING compared to having your family."

Big Pun Documentary To be Release

DMX, Prodigy, Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beatz, Killer Mike, Xzibit, Keith Murray and many others have been sitting down with filmmakers to talk about one of raps most skilled and charismatic characters in a documentary that does not yet have a release date.

"I was extremely pleased," Pun's wife, Liza Rios, said in a statement to Mixtape Monday regarding the film. "It was well-thought-out. It definitely represented Big Pun in full form. Over the years, Pun had become a distant memory in the industry. It is important for the younger hip-hop generation to know Pun and what he contributed to our hip-hop nation. The streets always keep Pun alive, and by creating this documentary, we are able to give back to Pun's loyal fans."
