-BET Hip Hop Awards, brought out a lot of people here in Atlanta and even got former rivals T.I and Ludacris to perform together. The show took place Saturday and included performances by T-Pain who also hosted, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Pharrell, Common, Plies, Ne-Yo, Salt N’ Pepa, MC Lyte, and many more. The show when it airs on BET Thursday, October 23rd at 8 pm.

Hip Hop DX Reports That Plies Criminal History Is A fraud

According to an Exclusive by Hip Hop Dx, The Florida Department Of Correction records show that rapper Plies's criminal background doesn't list him as the GOON he claims that he was in the streets or in jail. According to Documents Plies has been arrested just twice during his adult life. The 32-year-old was arrested for the first time at the in 2006 for misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence! The other happened during a shooting at a Gainesville, Florida nightclub after a Plies performed in 2006. The report, states that Plies and his Brother fired guns in a night club.

It seems that a lot of rappers criminal past are coming back to haunt them.

Plies "Somebody Loves You" scholarship program

Plies plans on helping the youth with scholarships, he announced recently that he has launched his non-profit organization, Big Gates and Plies Power Of Visions Foundation, Inc., as well as a scholarship program, "Somebody Loves You."

The organization will provide educational forums, classes, workshops, trainings, opportunities, and other charitable activities aimed at individuals in the community, focusing on rehabilitation. The scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled or who will be entering school this fall. Two scholarships will be awarded - to one male and one female - in the amount of $5000 each.
