Island Def Jam has decided to move up the release date for both Ludacris' "Theater of the Mind" and Kanye West's "808s & Heartbreak." The plan according to reports, is for the label to capitalize on the Thanksgiving shopping weekend. Both albums hits stores on November 24th.

According to The New York Post Chris "Ludacris" Bridges was denied entry into one of 12 secret societies at Yale University. Apparently Luda contacted heads of the exclusive organization, Manuscript, in an attempt to join the group. However Luda's rep allegedly made a call "under the mistaken idea that Manuscript is a literary society," insisting the artist would be "honored" and become a member under his real name. But Luda was denied!Members can only be elected with the consent of the current alumni. And the club said, "absolutely not. It's just not done."
BET has announced their line up for the upcoming Hip Hop Awards. According to reports Lil' Wayne, Ludacris, The Game, Common, T-Pain, N.E.R.D., Lady of Rage and Young Jeezy are among the performers. Katt Williams will host the ceremony and Russell Simmons will be honored with the "I Am Hip Hop" Icon Award. The show will take place on Oct. 18 at Atlanta's Civic Center and air on the network Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.
According to the associated Press a fire destroyed Ludacris's pool house. Ludacris was out of town when the fire took place but Fulton County Fire Department spokesman Gregory Chambers says a relative was in the basement of the main residence when the fire broke out and was not injured. The fire is being investigated.

O'Reilly, the host of The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News, has been repeatedly badmouthed hip-hop artists over the years. His comments about Ludacris forced Pepsi to drop the rapper as a spokesperson.
It is not certain how McPhilmy and Flavor Flav, the former member of Public Enemy and reality TV star, nor how long the two dated.
According to WhoDatedWho.com, McPhilmy also dated Sen. Edward "Ted" Kennedy in 1991.
Congrats to Ludacris who, is one of several inductees in this year's Georgia Music Hall of Fame ceremony. Ray Charles, Little Richard, Isaac Hayes, Antonio "L.A." Reid, TLC, Dallas Austin, Usher, R.E.M. and many more, have all been inducted. The awards show will broadcast live September 20, 8:30 PM on GPB-TV Channel 8. Congrats to Ludacris who recently visited his former high school (Banneker High School) in Atlanta to speak to kids about the importance of education. As well Ludacris also witnessed the renaming of the school's gymnasium. "I've always wanted a street named after me, but this is better," the name was changed to Christopher Bridges Gym which bears Ludacris' real name. Ludacris's cousin Monica came out as well as Killer Mike.
Ludacris is preparing for the September release of his new album "Theater of the Mind" Ludacris tells Billboard, "Expect the whole album [to be] theatrical." The album will consist of production by DJ Paul of Three6 Mafia, Dre & Vidal, 9th wonder, Ice Drake and DJ Don Cannon. Ludacris is also working on a new film"Max Payne" in Toronto, Canada which is about how the Russian mob came to Canada and took over. Do your thang Luda.
