The Roots Survive Tour Bus Crash


The Roots were involved in a crash while in route to Paris. Thier tour bus according to ?uest, did a complete 360 and ended up in the air, ramped up by the van that crashed into them. Everyone is doing good with just minor cuts and bruises.

The Roots Named House band for "Late Night"

Congrats to The Roots they have been named as the new house band for NBC's "Late Night" when former "Saturday Night Live" actor Jimmy Fallon replaces Conan O'Brien as host in March 2009, reports allhiphop.com.

The Roots and Gym Class Hereos Join Together For The Trek Tour


The Roots and rap/rock group Gym Class Heroes have joined together for a fall tour that will see the groups alternating headlining duties. The tour call "The Trek" begins Oct. 2 in Baltimore with opening act Estelle. Tickets go on sale this weekend for the general public.

Gnarls Barkley, The Roots and GZA will perform at The SoCo Music Experience festival tour, for people 21 and over. The first show is scheduled for Sept. 6 in Madison, WI, that show will be headlined by The Roots and GZA, while Gnarls Barkley takes the stage June 28 in Denver. The Roots Having Trouble At Def Jam


The Roots are said to be having a lot of drama since Jay-Z decided to step-down. Word is the group has been having trouble pleasing Def Jam and they haven't been getting a lot of promotion.

Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson says that's , "He (L.A Reid) has no idea that 'Birthday Girl' isn't even on the album," Thompson says. "They don't know we shot the 'Rising Down' video. They just know they approved an (electronic press kit) budget."

?uestlove was speaking of their single "Birthday Girl" that was removed from their U.S. version of their new album, "Rising Down"
