Drake Talks To Complex About Mixtape, Kanye and Ghostwriting For Wayne!

Drake recently sat down with Complex mag to explain the concept of the album cover and title of his new mixtape So Far Gone, “It’s this kid in pursuit of love and money...sometimes you just get so far gone, you get wrapped up in this shit.” Drake added, “The title has a lot of meanings—as the way we carry ourselves, the way we dress, the way people view us, not to sound cocky, it’s just that feeling that we’re just distanced in a good way.”

On Kanye: "Kanye West has an amazing mind, but he always has the means that when he thinks something, he can make it happen right away. But I’ve been singing way before ‘808s and Heartbreak.’ I’ve been in the R&B world for a long time, writing for artists, writing for myself, playing with different sounds and stuff.”

On ghostwriting for Wayne: “You know, we’re all great artists, great minds, and we all just contribute to each other; there’s been times when Wayne has helped me out, and I’m sure, I hope, I’ve influenced him to do or say things on tracks. We help each other out, that’s part of being two artists who respect each others’ creativity.”

Charli Baltimore has more than enough as she explained in a recent interview with Yo! Raps Magazine;

Well Faith says that! She definitely says that you and B.I.G. were in a relationship!

It's not like we planned it this way, but it actually kind of helps. The person that I'm making clothes for doesn't want to wear the same thing as everyone else, and so our biggest advantage is that we can be exclusive. If a man's wearing Benjamin Bixby, you know he's in the know.

Any thoughts on buying clothes in tough times?

Buy things that you love. Buy things that are never going to go out of style, and that you can wash for ten years and still have it be your favorite. And remember that the way you present yourself counts a lot.

Will Smith came out and told UK Magazine more about his open marriage with Jada that we all already knew about:

“Our perspective is, you don’t avoid what’s natural and you’re going to be attracted to people.” he says. And if it came down to it, then one would say to the other: ‘Look, I need to have sex with somebody. Now, I’m not going to if you don’t approve of it’. In our marriage vows, we didn’t say ‘forsaking all others’. We said ‘you will never hear I did something afterwards’. Because if that happens the relationship is destroyed. Other things that Will says are important in his relationship are keeping in shape for his “little firecracker” Jada, the “look in her eyes”, and communication...And lots of sex makes for a good marriage too!”
