John Forte's New Gig as a Teacher!

John Forte, has found a new job since being released from prison in November after serving nearly seven years for cocaine possession. Forte was hired as a teacher with The City College of New York. March 31 is his first day of work and he will with a program designed to provide a positive environment for at-risk youth and children of incarcerated.

Lil Wayne, Wyclef Jean To Take Part In ESPN Event

Lil Wayne and Wyclef Jean will take part in ESPN's Big Weekend event during Super Bowl weekend. Wycelf will be performing for ESPN the Magazine's NEXT party which will be DJed by Samantha Ronson. Wayne's role will be to report from the event's red carpet. Lil Wayne's, partnership with ESPN has seen the rapper blogging for the network's website, as well as appearing on the network itself to debate sports.

Wyclef Miami House up For Foreclosure


According to several reports, Wyclef Jean's Miami home was recently put on the market for foreclosed.Reports say that Jean took out a $2 million mortgage from Home Equity Mortgage Corp. in 2004 to purchase the estate through a corporation he owns with several friends.With plans to renovate the property, the home, which has been appraised at $1.4 million, was left unfinished for more than two years as a series of construction liens were filed. In addition, the city of Miami Beach added fees and once the $900,000 construction project halted after Jean and his partners couldn’t come up with the $177,913 in construction costs.A lien was put on the property by the project’s architects, who have tried to collect $75,000 owed to them.

Wyclef Jean, will premiere his Venus Williams theme song "Im Ready" during the 2008 US Open tennis tournament in Flushing, Queens, New York. The tournament will run from Aug. 25 through Sept. 7th.

Wyclef Being Sued By Jacob The Jeweler

“Jacob the Jeweler” has sued Wyclef Jean, claiming he owes money for watches and jewelry he bought and never finished paying off. The company says Jean still owes $319,680, despite “repeated demands for payment.”

Wycelf Working To Pull Money Into Haiti

Wyclef recently told Reuters, that he was in Haiti accompanied by a group of foreign investors in hopes that he can pour money into the local economy, which represents the poorest country in the Americas.

"Understand that there is a food crisis that needs to be addressed urgently, but at the same time donors need to inject funds in projects likely to bring sustainable results," Wyclef Says. "Haitians want jobs, they want to develop their agriculture to produce food, not to everlastingly receive food assistance."

Apple Will Host Concert in Their Stores

June is Black Music Month and Apple will take part in the celebrations. This year Apple will have their iTunes Live concerts held at stores across the country. Performers will include;

Wyclef Jean (New York's SoHo - June 9, 7 p.m.),
MC Lyte (Santa Monica, Calif.'s Third Street Promenade - June 20, 7 p.m.),
Talib Kweli (Apple Store, New York's SoHo - June 25, 6 p.m.),
Michelle Williams (Chicago's North Michigan Avenue, June 28, 7 p.m.).

Other artists include Anthony David, Tiffany Evans, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Dwele, Janelle Monae and Yung Berg.
