letter from Jay Z, Diddy,Mary J Blige,& Kevin Liles

Recently Jay-Z, Diddy, Mary and Kevin Liles have go together to write a letter to urge people to vote early:

"It ain't over, until it's over. There is still so much work to be done. The thrill of victory is just one week away. We hear it in the streets, we feel it in our hearts and it's burning in our souls. Together we have successfully registered the most young voters in the history of the modern political process. We called a State Of Emergency on October 3rd at 6:00AM and our culture stood up and recognized the importance of registering millions of voters. From 1st time voters who have just come of age to vote, to those who are participating for the 1st time in the voting process. Your commitment to Change will continue to ring across our America, because we all are in the Right State Of Mind Where it stands today, we are on the verge of making history, the kind of history that will be a part of our culture's legacy.

The kind of history that bridges the gap between race, religion and culture, the kind of history that will ignite a light that shines bright from generation to generation, screaming that our voice does matter and our vote does count. The kind of history that will enable the next generation of leaders to encourage vision, not division, to encourage hope, not hopelessness, to encourage the power of the people, not the power politics of the few. With only 7 days left before we vote for change, let's hold ourselves accountable and responsible. No more excuses, no more mistakes and no more time to waste. If you have the opportunity to vote early in your state then vote today. If you are voting on November 4th, make preparation today. Bring your family and friends and plan for the party at the poles.

Make November 4th the day we celebrate change - The day we celebrate freedom of choice. The day we celebrate power of all people. Let's all come together on November 4th, because it's a family reunion. It's our time and we are all in the Right State Of Mind.We have 7 days to Vote for Change. 7 days to Vote to Make History. We can not slow down. We can not let up. We must push through to history until the final vote is cast and the last ballot is counted. We can, we must, and we will Make It Happen. Vote Obama/Biden on November 4th.

God Bless,

Diddy

Fat Joe Tells MTV Daddy Yankee Is A Sellout

Fat Joe told MTV in a recent inteview that was is very upset with Daddy Yankee's endorsement of John Mccain and that he's a Sellout.

"I opened the newspaper and got sick to my stomach," Joe continued. "I felt like I wanted to vomit when I seen that. The reason why I called him a sellout is because I feel he did that for a [publicity] look, rather than the issues that are affecting his people that look up to him. How could you want John McCain in office when George Bush and the Republicans already have half a million people losing their homes in foreclosure? We're fighting an unjust war. It's the Latinos and black kids up in the frontlines, fighting that war. ... We over here trying to take the troops out of Iraq and bring peace. This guy immediately wants war. If not with Iraq or Afghanistan, he'll start a new one with Iran. I feel real disgusted that Daddy Yankee would do that. Either he did that for a look, or he's just not educated on politics."

Lighty Says Obama Needs To Not Worry About Talking To Rappers

In a blog post on Huffingtonpost.com, Violator Records CEO Chris Lighty suggested that Obama needs to stick to the important issues affecting black and white America, such as lowering the gas prices and ending the war in Iraq.

Lighty says Obama needs to stop wasting his time with rappers who disrespect our women in their lyrics, then yuck it up in the boardrooms with the ones who encourage the misogyny.
Don’t lower yourself to speak to rappers! Just because you are African-American, don’t allow the press to make you step down from the plate of being one of the most powerful men in the world to address a comment from a rapper, no matter how great he or she is. If the Dixie Chicks stand up and attack McCain, the press already knows it’s almost worthless to ask him about it. He wouldn’t have a clue who they are… (Source)

Obama Not To Happy With Pastor Wright!!

Senator Obama is not very happy with the comments made by pastor Jeremiah Wright yesterday (April 29) where there was a press conference to set the record straight.

"What became clear to me is that he was presenting a world view that contradicts who I am and what I stand for," Obama said. "And what I think particularly angered me was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing. Anybody who knows me and anybody who knows what I'm about knows that I am about trying to bridge gaps and I see the commonality in all people."....

Obama Furthermore stated...."Obviously, whatever relationship I had with Reverend Wright has changed," Obama said. "I don't think he showed much concern for me, more importantly I don't think he showed much concern for what we're trying to do in this campaign."

For some odd reason this is reminding me of when Malcolm X was trying to brake away from the nation of Islam...
