According to recent reports T.I is expected to be sentenced to 1,500 hours of community service talking to youth groups around the country, followed by about 12 months in prison.

T.i was charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He faced a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count. He initially pleaded not guilty, and has been under house arrest since he was released on October 26th. A change-of-plea hearing is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. at the federal courthouse in Atlanta today. I guess maybe T.I and T.I.P and stop battling and get life together

Soulja Boy Get No Love

I honestly thought i was the only person who didn't like SoulJa Boy but apparently everyone doesn't love Soulja Boy... last Thursday (march 20) a 12-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly throwing a rock through the windshield of Soulja Boy Tell Em’s tour bus in Bloomington, Illinois. when police arrested the boy, he told officers...“I hate Soulja Boy.” A rock.... For real?? what was he really gonna do with a rock?

Yo-Yo on VH1

Rap veteran Yo-Yo, will co-host VH1's upcoming series "Ego trip's Miss Rap Supreme," the show is in search for the next big female rapper the plan is to helpo bring attention to area's of hip hop that is often taken lightly.

There will be ten female hopefuls will reside in the "Fembassy" (a hotel designed in tribute to major figures in female rap) as they tackle various challenges in the quest to be crowned Miss Rap Supreme and pocket $100,000. This may be a good look for YOyo, just to get her back out there in the spot light.

Slim Thug and Chamillionaire Beef

Apparently Allhiphop.com is reporting a rumor that there is a beef between Slim Thug and Chamillionaire, because Slim Thug feels that Cham jacked a hook from one of his songs and intends to diss his H-Town counterpart over it.... Tupac Shakur Murder To Be Studied Again

In case you didn't know, Tupac Shakur was shot more than once. Before his fatal shooting in 1996, he was also shot in 1994 during an ambush that took place at a rap studio.

Like many murders in urban areas, the no-snitching rule prevailed and police were left without witnesses. However, an LA Times writer, Chuck Phillips, has spent the last 14 years obsessing over Tupac's shootings, and the hunt is finally paying off.

Phillips is going to star in a web only presentation on LATimes.com breaking down the shooting of Tupac Shakur. According to Phillips, who has analyzed FBI records and other pieces of evidence, there is reason to believe that the rapper Diddy may be connected to Tupac's murder. Phillips has argued that Diddy knew that Tupac was going to be attacked the night he went into the studio. This assertion is not unlike the assertions made by Tupac himself after the shooting.

Two shadowy figures Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond and James "Jimmy" Sabatino, have emerged as the most interesting characters in the Tupac drama. Sabatino has been alleged by Phillips to have informed Diddy that Tupac was going to be attacked in the studio.

After the shooting, Sabatino spent a great deal of time with Diddy, and was allowed to spend thousands of dollars on lavish hotels, limos and other excesses. Sabatino was arrested in London in 1998 and then sent to prison. That is when he and Diddy parted ways.

Phillips will conduct a live chat with the audience and also use lyrics from Biggie and Tupac to further his story. He argues that there are clues in the music as well.

Update: Philant Johnson's Case.

The Cincinnati Police Department has refuted claims of suspects being found in the Philant Johnson homicide case.

"There have been no arrests in this case and there are no warrants pending," said Cincinnati Police Public Information Commander Lt. Mark Briede, according to AllHipHop. "We've heard that Atlanta radio is reporting it and we've gotten several calls about this. But we know nothing about it."

Atlanta radio station earlier this week stated that Cincinnati police had two suspects, and were close to arresting a third.

Snoop on "One Life To Live"

Snoop will appear on the ABC soap opera "One Life To Live" for an extended cameo. Snoops is expected to perform "Sensual Seduction" and "Life of the Party," both singles from his new album Ego Trippin. Snoop will also remix the show's theme song. The cameo adds to a growing list of featured musicians on the show that has recently showcased performances by Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu and Timbaland. I love seeing Hip Hop cross over into other things..

Arrests Have been Made

Atlanta radio personality,Ryan Cameron reported yesterday that the Cincinnati police may be getting close to arresting the shooter in a 2006 incident that left Grand Hustle Records employee Philant Johnson dead. Cameron says that the police department already have two suspects in custody, and that they are expected to issue a warrant for the arrest of a third individual.

Eightball and MJG Showing they Care

Eightball and MJG are taking action in response to the violence surrounding Memphis City Schools, they plan on making numerous visits to the schools to have conversations with the children affected. Eigthball and MJG have recorded a public service announcement denouncing teen violence, that will start airing around the Memphis area next week. They are also planning a two-week tour of all of the schools, to speak with the children about what is causing the violence and their reactions to it.. One aspect to Hip Hop has always been fashion and one of the pioneers of Hip hop fashion is Karl Kani. Karl Kani who has teamed up with SAKs Fifth Avenue stores to create a new upscale men's line that will be sold exclusively at Sak stores nationwide. The new line was unveiled during a fashion show hosted by the designer as part of the Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week. The new Kani Kouture, Will be combined with contemporary fashion and streetwear. Karl Kani has been determined to stay on the cutting edge of the fashion world since he started his line in 1989. Kani also revealed to allhiphop.com that's he is also working on a new women's line.

C-Murder Making Moves

I really respect the fact the rapper C-Murder has been trying to turn his life around as well as peoples perception of him. While waiting for his June 9th, retrial for allegedly shooting and killing a 16-year-old begins. He's finding ways to continue to build on his successes, C-Murder announced that he has signed Akon to a book deal with TRU Publishing. Akon’s new book will be titled Thug Politics it is the second release from company, Jacki-O’s Grown and Gangsta was the first release.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep Upset

Prodigy of Mobb Deep has been very upset for what reason no ones knows, but he had some harsh words for Hip Hop which all appeared in an extremely long blog he had time to write. Prodigy took an attack on people including Cassidy, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, Cam’ron, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, Joe Budden, Jay-Z, Nas, Phonte, Saigon, and Keith Murray. As he went on and on he praise Soulja Boy for being “original, innovative, and unique”(right)..Prodigy is also upset with various music outlets for name-dropping; MTV, BET, The Source, XXL and Vibe magazine, as well as 99.9% of web sites that pertain to hip-hop. I'm thinking this was all a ploy being that his new album (H.N.I.C. Part 2) comes out later this year, and here i am giving him the satisfaction.

Eliot Spitzer Busted!!

A few days ago I spoke to you about New York Governor Eliott Spitzer and his back and forth disagreement with Russell Simmons well, Yesterday afternoon after arrest of four individuals connected to the Emperor’s Club VIP were arrested, Eliot Spitzer came forward in a press conference to apologize for his involvement in the high-end prostitution ring that's currently under investigation. He didn't really give any details however He allegedly met a prostitute in Washington, D.C.

Besides being the Governer Eliot Spitzer has also been best known within the music industry for his 2005 investigation with record labels and their use of "payola" to obtain airplay for certain records.

The investigation ultimately lead to several DJ’s and programming directors being fired or resigning.

Ice Cube Give's Raw Footage On Next Album

Ice Cube announced that he will release his ninth solo album, titled Raw Footage. Which is due out June 17th via Ice Cube’s Lench Mob Records. The album Will have guest appearances by Scarface, Westside Connection member Dub C., Nas, and Musiq Soul Child just to name a few. Cube hasn't had an album since 2006 with his gold-selling album Laugh Now, Cry Later, which debuted at #2 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop sales chart. I believe this album may be hot. I am a huge fan of ice cube and the last one wasn't so bad.

Ed Lovers Time wasn't enough

Ed Lover has been sued by a woman who claims he punched her in her face leaving her to get 20 stitches for a gash on her face.The incident which took place in 2005 at night club, apparently gave Ed lover seven days of community service and the woman felt that it was not enough. (three years later 2008) Therefore she filed suit last week in Manhattan Supreme Court. She also targeted the club saying they didn't provide adequate security.

Russell Simmons Pressures Governor Eliot Spitzer

NYC governor Eliot Spitzer responded to Russell Simmons comments to describe his stance on the Rockefeller drug laws, Russell said Eliot Spitzer is failing to live up to his promises to reform the state’s strict drug laws.

“I’m very disappointed in the governor. I should say that the hip hop is getting ready to get in his a**,”Russell Simmons said Tuesday.

Simmons says Governor Eliot Spitzer talked a good game about reforming the Rockefeller drug laws.“He promised all of us that he would do something about this prison reform issue,” said Simmons. African Americans and Latinos are hit especially hard, making up 91 percent of those behind bars. The laws account for 21 percent of the prison population, the laws are among the strictest in the nation, demanding sentences for the sale or possession of drugs.

“I will continue to support efforts to reform these laws,” Spitzer said,“We’re trying to come up with something that is reasoned that will maintain safety. People should not forget, we have seen a dramatic drop in crime over the years in New York State,” said Eliot Spitzer . “And that’s because I can say this as a prosecutor – we prosecute crimes, we’re tough, we lock up those that are guilty. And so we have to be very measured and reasoned in what we do.”

Eliot Spitzer and Simmons are still friends regardless of remarks from both parties.

Game Does his Time

Game turned himself in this past Sunday to began serving a 60-day jail sentence, according to Los Angeles police. Game was convicted last month of possession of a firearm in a school zone, and for pulling out a handgun during a basketball game at a South Los Angeles school last year. He had Two other related counts but they were dismissed under a plea agreement. Game will be serving his time at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, in Los Angeles.

Bun B Comments on Wayne's Addiction

Since Pimp C's death in December, Bun B has been very vocal about drugs usage. Bun B felt no need to hold back in a recent interview when asked by Rhapsody, how he felt about Wayne’s recent statements...

“I say this to all media, you can’t force Lil Wayne to stop sipping drank. That’s going to be a personal choice"

“When you have 100 people telling you not to do something, that sh** doesn’t work like that,” Bun B said. “…People stop doing things whenever they sort of feel their way up to it. Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard Will play Biggie

The search for an actor to play the part in the upcoming biopic Of Notorious B.I.G in "Notorious." has finally ended,Brooklyn-based rapper Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard has the part. The Story which centers on the life of Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., from his beginnings as a crack dealer in Brooklyn to his rise to the top of the world of hip-hop and his murder that has yet to be solved. The film which is directed by George Tillman Jr.(Soul Food) will start production later this month. Among the other parts casted for the film are; Sean "Diddy" Combs, played by Derek Luke ("Antwone Fisher"); Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace,will be played by Angela Bassett ("Akeelah and the Bee"); and Tupac Shakur, played by Anthony Mackie("8 Mile").

Juvenile's 4 Yr Old Daughter Murdered by Sibling

Juvenile’s 4 year old daughter was killed by her 17 year old brother in Lawrenceville, GA right outside of Atlanta. The 17 year old boy Tyrone Terrell Jr. is being held in the DeKalb County jail, charged in the deaths of his mother and siblings at their home. read below via Yahoo news:

The rap star Juvenile is "shocked and devastated" by the shooting death of his young daughter, the girl's mother and another child, his manager said Saturday.

The 32-year-old rapper is still trying to cope with the death of 4-year-old Jelani; her mother, 39-year-old Joy Deleston; and the woman's daughter Micaiah, 11, whose bodies were found Thursday night in their home, "It really shocked him and devastated him to the point where I've never seen him before," said manager Aubrey Francis.

Rapper Juvenile's Daughter Killed by Her Brother

Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr., a 17-year-old, has been charged with the murder of his mother and two sisters. One of the girls was the daughter of the rapper Juvenile.

The victims were identified as Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4.

Ms. Deleston was a Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy. Juvenile, whose real name is Terius Gray, is 32 years old.

To avoid any conflict of interest, Deleston's son was taken to a different jail in DeKalb County, rather than the jail in Gwinnett, where his mother worked. Prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty because of the boy's age.

Police came to the home after receiving a 911 call about shots being fired. They entered the home and the 17 year old arrived to the house 35 minutes later. After talking with deputies, he was arrested.

Juvenile has been arrested a few times himself. He has been charged with failure to pay child support, resisting arrest and a few other things. However, many of the charges against Juvenile were dismissed.
