Mos Def Being sued by his own Lawyers

Mos Def is being sued by his own divorce lawyers according to reports. They say that Mos Def did not pay them for their services and that he owes them about $60,000 in unpaid fees and retainers after they helped him in his divorce in 2006

Mos Def Wanted in Las Vegas!

Mos Def is wanted for arrest in Las Vegas after an alleged scuffle with a photographer at a fashion trade show in August. According to reports, Vegas police are looking to charge Mos Def born Dante Terrell Smith – with felony robbery and misdemeanor malicious destruction of property.

Riot Brakes out During Mos Def, Pharcyde Concert

A crowd nearly turned violent during the Take Back Labor Day concert on Harriet Island, MN. The event was originally a festival to celebrate worker's achievements and to promote a New Vision for the 21st Century. Mos Def and Pharcyde were also expected to perform however Employees of the International Union officials eventually had to come out and try and calm the crowd down. Once that did not work, the local police had no choice but to shut things down. Police directed the crowd to a different bridge, but ended up arresting 284 arrests, with 130 people booked on felony charges, 51 on gross misdemeanors and 103 for misdemeanors.

Mos Def is being Investigated for Larceny

According to TMZ, Mos Def is being investigated for larceny after snatching a camera from a photographer at the Las Vegas Hilton during the MAGIC fashion convention. Reports say that Mos Def pulled a camera from a photographer's neck and caused a small cut on the shooter's hand, gave the camera to a security guard and left.

Nas Brings Out Jay-Z For Monumental Rock The Bells Stop

Nas brought out Jay-Z out to perform “Success” and “Black Republican.." The Rock The Bells concert had performances from - Dead Prez, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharoah Monch, Method Man, Red Man, EPMD, Keith Murray and legendary hip-hop group Tribe Called Quest featuring Q-Tip. I heard it was a great show.

Mos Def To Star in Film Along Side Rihanna

Mos Def along with Rihanna will star in "Mama Black Widow," a movie adaption of the 1969 novel from “Iceberg Slim” by writer Robert Beck. The movie right now is currently in pre-production and will be released in 2009.

Rock The Bells Festival 2008

This years Rock The Bells festival, has one of the HOtt list of performers, which is A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, Rakim, Method Man & Redman, Raekwon & Ghostface, Immortal Technique, Dead prez, Murs and Kidz In The Hall, with a special reunion performance by The Pharcyde.

The festival will also feature up and coming acts including; Spank Rock, Santogold, Kid Sister, Wale, Flosstradamus, Jay Electronica and The Cool Kids.

B-Real and Supernatural are set to host the festivities.

The festival, will kick off on July 19 in Chicago and will hit 10 cities

Pre-sale tickets will be available May 14th - 16th via Guerillaunion ,the general public will go on sale May 17th.
