DMX is currently being held on a $25,000 cash only bond, after he made an appearance in the Phoenix courtroom due to a bench warrant for missing his last court appearance. X will have to appear in court again on October 7 for a status conference.

The town of Bridgeport, Conn will honor 50 cents, who is one of their most famous residents, with a key to the city. The ceremony will take place on Oct. 12, and that day will be officially be known as Curtis Jackson Day.

Luda's Pool House Catches Fires No On Injured

According to the associated Press a fire destroyed Ludacris's pool house. Ludacris was out of town when the fire took place but Fulton County Fire Department spokesman Gregory Chambers says a relative was in the basement of the main residence when the fire broke out and was not injured. The fire is being investigated.

Kanye West Moves Up Album Release Date

According to Kanye's newest blog post he is pushing up the release date of his upcoming album "808s & Heartbreak" from Dec. 16 to "November something."

"I finished the album and I felt like (moving up the date)," he wrote. "I want yall to hear it as soon as possible."

I wonder if Kanye is trying to avoid a sales showdown with 50 Cent, who set the release of his new album "Before I Self Destruct" one week before Kanye's former date of the 16th.

Woman's Lawsuit Against Diddy and Vibe Thrown Out

New York state judge Justice Doris Ling-Cohan threw out the case of a woman who was suing Diddy and Vibe magazine for printing her picture without her permission. Maria Dominguez filed a $3 million claim because her image was featured in a Nov. 2006 article. She said that both parties violated her right to privacy by using pictures of her at the rapper's White Party event without her permission. She also claimed the article was free advertising for the rapper and his label, Bad Boy Entertainment Inc. But the judge says that Dominguez couldn't expect privacy at a public event.

Kanye West Will Co-Produce Show On Comedy Central

Kanye will reportedly be starring in a new show on Comedy Central. The show is supposed to be where Hip Hop meets the Muppets. The project is scheduled for 2009. West along with Rhymefest will serve as executive producers on the pilot alongside Jimmy Kimmel. West also hosts the pilot; the idea is to have a different celebrity guest host for every episode, similar to the setup on the original “Muppet Show.”A half-hour pilot has been shot for the project, tentatively titled “Alligator Boots"

Jay-z And Stargate Plans To Start New Label

Jay-Z and Production duo Stargate are joining forces to create of a new record label called StarRoc reports the NY Times. The new venture, called StarRoc, will be based at Jay-Z’s Roc the Mic recording studio in Manhattan and will develop new talent through “360 deals,” umbrella contracts covering various aspects of an artist’s output, according to representatives of both parties. StarRoc, which is also to include a music publishing entity, is a 50-50 partnership between the two members of Stargate.

Russell Crowe Has Snoops Back

Thanks to Academy Award winning actor Russell Crowe, Snoop Dogg was granted a visa to travel on the Smoked Out Tour with Ice Cube and Bone Thugs in Harmony. Crowe wrote a letter to Australia's Minister of Immigration urging the country to allow Snoop to participate in next month's tour.

“I have known Snoop Dogg for 3 years…[he] poses no threat to Australia or to any individual in this country; he has toured here three times before without incident and there are no reasons to assume this tour will be anything but the positive experience the last three have been,” Crowe wrote. “Snoop has built a stellar reputation with promoters and audiences worldwide.Snoop has used his celebrity in many positive ways," he continued. The mother of T.I.’s oldest to children, is suing him for more child support. Lashon Dixon, says the she currently gets $2000/month for both boys but that just ain't enough. According to the Associated Press, Lashon Dixon has been reportedly been receiving $2,000 a month for their two 7 and 8 year-old boys. Rather than demanding a specified amount, the 29 year-old is requesting a court to order a stipend equal to Tip’s financial success.
